Infrared (IR) windows have become an industry-standard tool that enables thermographers to perform infrared surveys of energized electrical conductors and circuit parts while keeping panel covers and doors closed. Because, the electrical equipment is maintained in an "enclosed" and "guarded" condition, IR windows (also referred to as infrared viewports, or sightglasses) provide an easy way for companies to comply with NFPA 70E and OSHA directives during periodic infrared inspections of energized electrical equipment.
The Platinum Series - launched April 3, 2012. This state-of-the art infrared window is the world's first clear, impact resistant, polymer infrared window for electrical inspection safety. The Platinum Series has the largest standard combined IR and visual window available in the global marketplace. IRISS understands the infrared industry and electrical safety making our new Platinum Series "The Clear Choice."
The VPFR is the flagship IRISS product.
Crystal optics are best reserved for laboratory R&D applications where environmental variables are controlled and where the fragility of the material is not a detriment to safety and long-term use.
Sometimes a small window is all you need for a wide-angle lense or a small target. The VP12 might be just the right size.
Great solution for PDU dead-front panels. Now Thermographers can identify loose connections on breakers without ever removing the deadfront panels. Reduces PPE requirements, removes high-risk job task, and speeds infrared surveys.

Ultrasound Ports have become an industry-standard tool that enables ultrasound technicians to perform ultrasonic surveys of a variety of mechanical and electrical applications that are contained behind a barrier. Use of a port or grill creates a consistent measurement point for repeatable measurements regardless of the technician's level of experience.
Note: Because ultrasound ports and grills do not maintain an "enclosed" condition on electrical equipment, personel are exposed to energized conductors per NFPA and CSA definitions. Therefore, full PPE is required when working with any open port or grill system.
Increase the repeatability of your ultrasound program with the VP12 Ultrasound Port.
Proper setting your emissivity is one of the most critical variables to consider when measuring temperature, Delta T values or even when just "looking for hot-spots." IRISS IRID labels are a quick and easy way to standardize the emissivity of your targets to 0.95 for accurate readings and meaningful images. These stickers were designed in a variety of shapes for easy recognition and landmarking.
